What is a negligent security claim?

A negligent security claim is when a land owner or land holder or tenant, such as a bank, causes you to come in the bank at night because their ATM is open, and they know or should know that this is in a dangerous area. And they don’t have appropriate lighting, and they don’t have appropriate warnings, and they don’t have appropriate safety, such as an officer that might be there. It just depends on the facts. A hotel may be liable for negligent security if they don’t tell you, “Don’t go right because a block away it’s dangerous.” That might be negligent security. So there are all sorts of negligent security instances, but if you think that you were injured because of negligent security, see a lawyer and that lawyer will advise you.
